A New Heart For An Old City
Galway is a city steeped in History and Culture. We want you to help us write the next chapter in the story of our great city.
In what will be the one of the largest schemes of urban regeneration in the history of the state, Project Ceannt, will see the creation of a new urban quarter on a major 8.2 acre site in the City Centre.
The site adjacent to Eyre Square, could see construction begin in 3 years, and be completed by 2025. The project will have an enormous positive impact on Galway, creating thousands of jobs, and make a place where people can live, work, and play. This is the first phase of our public consultation relating to the preparation of the Masterplan/Framework Plan for these lands, which will ultimately lead to a planning application being lodged with Galway City Council for this major regeneration project.
We want and need your input so that together we can build a better Galway.
We invite you to give us your ideas and aspirations for the kind of Galway you want, and to help shape the future of the city centre. We are here to listen, engage, and respond so we can build a better city.
We welcome your submissions, and we will respond with another Public Consultation in December.
